Inheritance Tax

Inheritance Tax is charged on personal net worth on death. Assets transferring to a surviving spouse are exempt.

With property values having increased rapidly in the U.K. in recent years Inheritance Tax becomes a serious risk to the transfer of assets to children

The rate of 40% and with a starting net value at only £325,000 makes this tax one that has to be considered well in advance
